RF/Mixed Signal Design Engineer (Analog/Mixed-Signal focus) (09-020)

You will work with a team of IC designers and systems engineers to lead the development of data conversion and signal processing blocks for Maxlinears next-generation products. You will define architectures based on high-level specifications and lead the implementation of these circuits. You will participate in integration of these ddesigns into the products and will be responsible for design validation, debug, and characterization through product release.



Requirements:

Minimum qualification: Master of Science or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering.
5 yrs experience designing ADCs, DACs, power management circuits, continuous-time analog filters, switched-capacitor circuits, or other major mixed-signal blocks.
Familiarity with a variety of architectures for each type of circuit, and you must show a clear understanding of design choices and tradeoffs required to meet key specifications.
Experience should include taking designs from concept through productization.
Familiarity with RF circuits and PLLs to optimize your designs in the context of the full signal path.
Familiarity with wireless or wire-line communication specifications and derivation of block-level requirements from these high-level specifications.
Hands-on experience testing your own designs in the lab, and you must be able to define characterization and production test techniques for all building blocks.
Communication and presentation skills are critical, and a strong desire and potential to lead technology development.
