We are currently seeking a Research Analyst for our Commercial Auto Insurance R&D division. This individual will be responsible for the development of insurance products, researching new ideas to improve our product offerings, conducting project work, and performing ad hoc analysis.
Responsibilities include:
Works with business partners to analyze needs for information and converts them into action items, requests or projects. Collecting and analyzing data on customer demographics, preferences, needs, and buying habits to identify potential markets and factors affecting product demand. Uses sophisticated mathematical and statistical methodologies to create better product offerings. Preparing reports of findings, illustrating data graphically and translating complex findings into written text. Gathering data on competitors and analyzing their prices, sales, and method of marketing and distribution. Retrieves data from various sources and prepares data for analysis. Monitoring industry statistics and following trends. Enhances and develops models and algorithms using Advanced SAS programming and Excel. Presenting recommendations to peers, managers and business leaders.

Bachelors degree in Statistics, Mathematics, or related analytical area. 2 to 3 years of business analysis experience Advanced statistical analysis skills Strong analytical and problem solving skills Excellent programming skills (i.e. C, SAS, SQL,). Superior presentation skills Ability to prioritize and multi-task effectively.
Preferred Requirements:
Masters degree SAS programming experience
